The Australian chapter of The UHNW Institute, in partnership with host Commonwealth Bank of Australia, convenes on July 28 to examine family philanthropy—specifically, how families structure giving to align values, legacy and impact across generations.
Hosted by David Werdiger, a UHNW Institute International Advisory Board Champion (Australia) and faculty member, the discussion brings advisors and family office leaders together to address the questions that shape whether giving becomes transformative for the family itself or remains transactional:
- How do structured giving approaches differ from annual donations in shaping legacy, client retention, and family engagement?
- How does philanthropy function differently when it operates within families versus institutions?
- How do families navigate these conversations with honesty and clarity?
