Liz serves as Vice Chair of Emigrant Bank and Chair of Emigrant Partners. In these roles, she collaborates with affiliates providing solutions to the wealth management industry, including Emigrant Partners (the earliest minority investor to the asset & wealth management industry), New York Private Trust, Sarasota Private Trust, Cleveland Private Trust, Summitas, and Personal Risk Management Solutions. Additionally, Liz is a member of the Emigrant Partners’ Investment Committee, contributing to strategic investment decisions.
With over 30 years of experience as an advisor, investment banker, and entrepreneur, Liz specializes in mergers and acquisitions, succession and liquidity planning, strategic advisory, compensation structuring, in-depth financial and business analysis, and organic growth consulting. In 2007, she founded Silver Lane, a boutique investment bank that consistently ranked as a leading M&A advisor to the wealth and asset management industry. In 2019, Liz and her partners sold Silver Lane to a Fortune 500 company, and in 2024, Liz marked her transition from investment banking to direct investor in the industries she has long served.
A dedicated advocate and mentor for women in financial services, Liz was described by Mergers & Acquisitions magazine as “the most experienced female investment banker serving the investment management and securities industry.” She received the M&A Advisor’s Leadership Award in 2021 and was inducted into the M&A Hall of Fame. Liz was recognized as a Woman to Watch by InvestmentNews in 2019.
Liz began her career at Berkshire Capital, providing M&A and strategic advisory services to Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs). There, she co-founded the investment banking industry’s first specialist M&A practice serving wealth management firms.
