Scott E. Squillace, Esq. is a business, tax, and estate planning attorney with nearly 40 years  of experience advising high-net-worth individuals, international clients, and members of the  LGBTQ+ community. He is the founder of Squillace & Associates, P.C., a boutique law firm based  in Boston’s Back Bay, and is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts, New York, Washington D.C.,  New Hampshire, and Maine, and was also admitted to the Bar in Paris, France as an Avocat. 

Scott began his legal career at Skadden Arps, where he helped establish the firm’s offices in  Paris and Moscow and handled complex corporate and securities work across Europe, Asia, and the  U.S. He later served in senior in-house roles, including General Counsel for Levi Strauss Europe  and Grand Circle Travel, and as European Counsel for Cabot Corporation. His decade living abroad  has shaped a practice with a global perspective. 

An advocate for LGBTQ+ planning, Scott authored Whether to Wed: A Legal and Tax Guide  for Gay and Lesbian Couples in 2015, co-founded the Equality Fund at The Boston Foundation, and  was appointed by Governor Deval Patrick as a Commissioner for LGBTQ+ aging. He previously  served on the Board of Directors of The Boston Foundation, where he chaired the Audit and  Development Committees, and is a former member of the Board of the Boston Estate Planning  Council, which honored him with its 2020 Excellence Award, its highest award. 

Scott is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), an  Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP), a Certified Master Trustee (NAEPC), and a Certified Legacy  Advisor (Sunbridge Legacy Institute). He earned his J.D. from the Catholic University of America,  studied at the Sorbonne, and holds a bachelor’s degree from Fordham University. He lives in Boston  and Palm Springs with his husband and their two silver labs.
