Beneficiary Stories Initiative: Launching in 2026
Members of the Institute,
As announced at The UHNW Institute 2025 Symposium, The UHNW Institute is launching the Beneficiary Stories Initiative in 2026 and we want your involvement.
In partnership with Pitcairn Chief Knowledge and Learning Officer Amy Hart Clyne, and Senior Research Fellow at Banyon Global, Dennis Jaffe, both co-authors of the Finding Her Voice and Creating a Legacy, The Institute is curating a series of conversations with individuals —beneficiaries and inheritors of significant wealth—who are willing to candidly share their personal experiences. Each story will be captured and aggregated for lessons learned. Anonymous stories will be shared with the UHNW Institute’s membership of advisors, family enterprise leaders and family members to help deepen understanding of the emotional, relational, and practical dynamics that come with inherited wealth.
Our goal is not to spotlight wealth, but to illuminate the complexity, nuance, and wisdom that often go untold in traditional financial conversations.
We’re looking for stories of growth and development. The journey of a beneficiary can involve unexpected challenges: identity formation, shifting family dynamics, stewardship expectations, and finding one’s voice and purpose amid legacy. By sharing reflections—whether on lessons learned, surprises encountered, or advice a beneficiary wished she had received—the experience can provide a powerful source of guidance to other inheritors, families and advisors working to navigate similar terrain.
The attached handout (click here) outlines additional information about this new program. If your firm or a family with which you work would like to participate, please contact Angelique LeDoux at aledoux@uhnwinstitute.org to learn more.
Join us and be part of our ongoing mission to elevate the dialogue around family wealth and legacy.
