Doris Meister is a transformational financial services leader with over thirty-five years of experience in wealth and investment management. Her deep expertise spans strategy, business transformation, finance, investments and governance. For the last twenty-five years, Doris has led top-tier financial institutions in New York, including BNY Mellon, Bernstein Global Wealth Management, and Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking and Investment Group.
Doris most recently served as the Chair and CEO of Wilmington Trust, a wholly owned affiliate of M&T Bank with $79B AUM and over $1B in revenue. She retired in 2024 to form Cove Hollow Advisors, where she focuses on providing advisory services and serving on corporate boards for private companies in the wealth and investment management industries. Doris currently serves on the boards of AssetMark, Composition Wealth, RWA Wealth Partners and AEF.
Doris is a respected member of the Economic Club of New York, a premier professional association for thought leaders of the US and the world. She also serves on the boards of several non-profit organizations: the International Women’s Forum, the Committee of 200, and the Ultra High Net Worth Institute. She has been named one of the top 10 women in wealth management by Barron’s, and was selected as one of the top 25 women in finance by American Banker. Doris resides in Palm Beach, Florida and East Hampton, NY with her husband and twin daughters.
