David Novick is the Chief Relationship Officer (“CRO”) at Briar Hall, where he is a member of the Management Team and the senior-most leader overseeing client experience and engagement.

In his role as CRO, David has full organizational leadership of the wealth advisory and relationship management team. In addition to managing and developing the team on a day-to-day basis, he provides strategic insights into evolving the service experience, particularly through the integration of technology in service engagement. David joined Briar Hall in November 2024. Before joining Briar Hall, David served as Managing Director of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ (“PwC”) Family Enterprise Advisory Services practice, where he primarily supported multigenerational ultra-high net worth families and their offices.

Prior to his tenure at PwC, David was President of Johnson Keland Management, the family office for the principal owners of S. C. Johnson & Son, Inc. There he led a team of financial professionals dedicated to serving three generations of the Johnson and Keland families. The office focused on governance, investment advisory oversight, estate and tax planning, financial administration, education, and lifestyle services.

Earlier in his career, David held the positions of Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer of William Harris Investors, Inc., a multi-family office managing the wealth and financial affairs of four generations of the Harris family, as well as other ultra-high net worth families, through investment management, tax and estate planning, philanthropy, trust administration and personal financial planning.

David earned his JD from the University of Illinois College of Law and holds an undergraduate degree from the Boston University School of Management.

David resides in Highland Park, Illinois with his wife of over thirty years, Michelle. They have two adult children, Corey and Jordyn. David enjoys hiking, biking, Pilates, and spending time with the family dog, Wrigley.
