New Podcast Episode: Leaving Your Legacy
This episode marks the launch of the UHNW Institute’s Beneficiary Stories Initiative, a new effort designed to elevate the real experiences, opportunities, and challenges of inherited wealth. Led by Amy Hart Clyne, Dennis Jaffe, and Angelique LeDoux, and supported by educational partner Pitcairn, the initiative will bring forward the voices of beneficiaries to support families and the advisors who serve them.
To begin this series of conversations, host Russ Haworth is joined by Dr. Rick Stevenson, creator of the StoryQ Method and founder of The 5,000 Days Project. Drawing from more than 8,000 interviews, Rick shares why storytelling is one of the most powerful tools families can use to strengthen identity, build trust, and carry values forward.
Topics include:
- Why identity and self-knowledge matter more than wealth transfer
- Safe, participant-led storytelling as a foundation for connection
- The value of hearing every generation, not just the founder’s voice
- How story work supports more meaningful giving and decision-making
- What advisors can do to build trust with the full family
