Stephen Prostano*

Steve Prostano is the Partner-in-Charge of the Center for Private Business Owners which delivers comprehensive solutions for private business owners to help them achieve their business and personal financial goals.

In a career spanning over three decades, Steve Prostano has distinguished himself as an innovator and thought leader in the wealth management, multi-family office and global financial services industries. He has designed and built leading global and national multi-family offices, asset management firms and has advised industry leaders and ultra-high-net-worth families and family offices throughout his career.

Prior to joining the Firm, Steve was the Head of Family Wealth Advisors, a division of Bank of the West Wealth Management, an affiliate of BNP Paribas, where he built the first global, multi-family office in the U.S. Additionally, he served on the Bank of the West’s Senior Management Committee. Steve is also the founder of The UHNW Institute, a nonprofit, independent “Think Tank” and publisher of exceptional thought leadership content for UHNW families, family offices, their advisors and the financial services industry.

Steve previously served as CEO of Silver Bridge, President of Atlantic Trust and a Global Partner of Amvescap, President of Chase Global Asset Management and Executive Vice President of the Private Clients Group of FleetBoston Financial. He also held senior positions with Mellon Bank and KPMG, where he began his career.

Steve is the recipient of several distinguished industry awards, including Family Wealth Report’s Leading Individual in the MFO Industry and Private Asset Magazine’s Outstanding Contributor to the Wealth Management Industry.

Taryn Barrett

Associate Director

In her Membership role, Taryn serves as the primary point of contact for individuals connecting with The Institute through its website, responding to inquiries, and guiding prospective members through the membership process. In her Administration role, she supports the leadership team by contributing to day-to-day operations and key initiatives.

Passionate about helping others and advancing inclusion, Taryn brings a thoughtful, organized, and people-centered approach to every role she undertakes.

In addition to her work at The Institute, Taryn serves as Associate Director of Special Events at Special Olympics Connecticut, where she leads large-scale fundraising and community engagement initiatives that champion athletes with intellectual disabilities and promote a more inclusive society.

Taryn earned her BS in Communication from Boston College and her MS in Sports Business Management from Manhattanville College.

Chloe Evans

Director of Marketing & Administration
The UHNW Institute

Chloe Evans is the Director of Marketing and Administration at The UHNW Institute, where she leads the organization’s operational and marketing infrastructure. She oversees marketing and communications alongside core administrative systems, partnering closely with staff, the Board of Directors, advisory councils, and committees to ensure alignment and execution across the Institute. Chloe manages organizational, content, and program calendars and serves as the operational lead for major programs and events, including roundtables, study groups, collegiums, and the annual Symposium. She also oversees brand stewardship, website and member portal administration, and the Institute’s relationships with external marketing partners. In addition, Chloe guides the end-to-end member experience—from onboarding through ongoing engagement—ensuring members are informed, supported, and meaningfully connected throughout their involvement with the Institute.

Chloe brings over a decade of experience in marketing, project management, and administration within the financial industry from roles at Charles Schwab, Bank of the West, and Ascent Private Capital Management of U.S. Bank. She is known for her systems-driven approach, operational rigor, and ability to translate strategy into execution across highly collaborative environments. She graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Business Administration.

Nic Held

IT Managed Service Provider

Nic is a results-driven executive leader with over 15 years of experience in IT systems, operations, cybersecurity, and technical leadership. He has a proven track record of systematizing and securing operations, leading high-performing teams, and delivering complex, secure IT solutions for billion-dollar organizations. Skilled at navigating executive-level strategies and addressing clients with unique needs, Nic blends balance, practicality, and security-focused thinking into every initiative, backed by sharp business acumen. Nic is native New Yorker, avid equestrian and hockey player, spends over a month in Bulgaria every year and enjoys time with his wife and young daughter.

Tara Kehoe

Library Manager
The UHNW Institute

Tara Kehoe is the Manager of the Resource Library at The UHNW Institute, where she leads the strategy, design, and operations of the Institute’s one-of-a-kind library of curated and original content. Supported by the Content, Programming and Training Committee and Chair, Tara is responsible for maintaining the quality, consistency, and professional integrity of the Resource Library, ensuring members have intuitive access to the most relevant thinking across the UHNW landscape. She plays a central role in developing and implementing the Institute’s professional standards and processes governing content selection, organization, and delivery.

In addition to overseeing the Resource Library homepage—which houses a growing suite of Institute tools, including the Ten Domains of Family Wealth™, the Assessment, Implementation, and Monitoring (AIM) Framework™, and the Wealthesaurus™—Tara provides resource education and training to the Institute community. She supports key programming and initiatives, including the annual Symposium, Women’s Summit, and Integrated Family Wealth Management Committee activities, and serves as a liaison to Institute Faculty and Domain Chairs.

Tara holds a Master of Science in Information and Library Science from Pratt Institute and brings a diverse professional background spanning public, academic, and special libraries. Her experience includes roles as a children’s librarian, academic librarian and instructor, and work with the New Jersey State Library’s Talking Book and Braille Center under the Library of Congress’s National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled. Earlier in her career, she earned a master’s degree in Counseling, worked as a substance abuse counselor, and supported research on eating disorders at Weill Cornell Medical College–NewYork Hospital. Tara received her bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a Certificate in Women’s Studies from Arizona State University. A self-proclaimed lifelong learner, she is endlessly curious about what Institute members are reading.

Angelique LeDoux

Angelique LeDoux is managing editor of content at The UHNW Institute and offers the voice and perspective of a second generation family member, sharing lessons learned from her journey that reflects the complexities of an evolving multigenerational family. She is also a principal and Chief Storytelling Strategist for Seattle-based StoryQ, that helps youth and adults connect the dots of their life through storytelling, captured on film, to better understand and give authority to author their own lives.

Prior to her current roles, LeDoux was the founding partner and executive director of Parents of Accelerated Learners, NYC (PALNYC), a non-profit that supports talent development through the academic, social and emotional development of NYC’s youth. In addition to her non-profit work, LeDoux was the founder of Jade’s ToyBox, an educational and eco-friendly children’s toy company, after a decade as a writer, editor and photographer at TIME Magazine and the Associated Press.

Previously a Managing Director with Golden Seeds, a nationwide angel investor network that invests in companies founded by women or who have significant equity ownership, and later with socially responsible Investors Circle, LeDoux became focused on early stage investing and initiatives that support the change she hopes to see in the world.

She has held board positions in a variety of areas of passion including children’s healthcare through Menlo Park-based PANDAS Network; education via NYC-based The Speyer Legacy School and edutainment with Boston-based, technology company Playrific. Most recently, LeDoux is focused on legacy and storytelling through the Seattle-based venture StoryQ and the non-profit Prodigy Camp to help scale its mission because like her, everyone’s got a story to tell.

LeDoux received an MA in both Journalism and Fine Art Photography from New York University and went on to pursue a Graduate Certificate in Gifted Education from Rutgers University to better support her own advanced learner who just headed off to college in the Pacific Northwest. When not traveling, LeDoux resides in New York City and spends every chance she can either in Austin, Texas, or on a bicycle heading downhill.

Matthew Murphy

Principal, Membership Growth & Engagement

During the past 5 years, Matthew was the Director-Head of New Member Development at Family Office Exchange (FOX). In this role, he was responsible for leading the initiative in identifying prospective family and advisor members; assessing their needs and priorities to ensure a deep understanding of the benefits of FOX membership.

Matthew has 35 years of client service/business development experience within the wealth and asset management field. Previously, Matthew was a Vice President-Institutional Sales for Astor Investment Management. Matthew also served as a Senior Consultant for HFR Asset Management. Earlier in his career, he has held various client service/business development positions including Partner/Director-Brinson Partners/UBS Global Asset Management and Founding Partner-Xenon Capital Management, a managed futures CTA.

Matthew has a deep understanding and experience in the areas of portfolio diversification and risk management. He also has extensive knowledge related to the due diligence necessary in evaluating potential hedge fund and private equity investments.

Matthew holds a B.A. from Columbia University. He received a M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a M.S. (Finance) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and was awarded a Graduate Fellowship from the Connecticut General Assembly as a quantitative analyst within the Office of Fiscal Analysis.

For nearly two decades, Kristen Oliveri has been at the intersection of content, community, and connection in the family wealth industry. She began her career as a beat reporter for Institutional Investor, honing her ability to distill financial narratives into compelling stories. From there, she expanded her expertise into event curation and investor relations for family offices, at companies including With Intelligence, Markets Group, and Crain.

Today, Kristen serves as Senior Family Office Advisor and Co-Chair of the SFO Executive Advisory Board for The UHNW Institute, where she helps lead the SFO Circle—a private membership network for senior single-family office executives. In that role, she curates content, moderates thought-leadership programs, and fosters collaboration among the world’s most sophisticated wealth stewards.

Her career has taken her around the world, uncovering the luxurious side of wealth—from bespoke travel experiences to fine wine, wellness retreats, and culinary excellence.

Yet, beyond the opulence, what truly drives Kristen is the people. She has an innate ability to foster authentic, long-term relationships, seamlessly moving between curating exclusive gatherings, moderating thought-provoking discussions on topics like philanthropy, and connecting next generation family office leaders.

A reformed theater geek at heart, Kristen thrives in front of an audience, lending her voice to podcasts, panels and personal brand storytelling. Helping industry leaders craft their narratives isn’t just her profession—it’s her passion.

A native New Yorker, Kristen now calls the North Fork of Long Island home, where she shares her love of Italian culture, wine collecting, and home-cooked meals with family and friends. When she’s not traveling, you’ll find her on the dance floor, practicing ballroom or dreaming up her next adventure.
